We must fight!

Israeli forces have been raining bombs on 2.1 million helpless people trapped in the Gaza Strip since October 7, 2023, for 15 days, without distinguishing between soldiers and civilians, women, children, patients and injured people. For the first time in human history, Israel bombs a hospital in the middle of Gaza. He tells Gazan civilians, “Go south, I will bomb the north,” and then he bombs southern Gaza and even a school. They bomb mosques, marketplaces and houses. Bombs are exploding in front of our eyes on live broadcasts, civilians and young children are being torn to pieces in front of cameras. These cameras are not only those of AlJazeera but also CNN, BBC, AFP, NYT, WSJ, Guardian, Independent, The Economist and Times. The genocide taking place in Gaza is so great that even the newspapers of these media organizations combined are not enough to cover Gaza’s funeral. Our eyes are gradually getting used to the charred and blood-soaked bodies of tiny innocent children, their shocked looks, trembling with fear, and the writings they write on their hands and feet to be recognized when they are dismembered.
We thought ‘Humanity has progressed so much’, but we forgot to ask ‘in what respect’. It is now possible to say that the issue in which humanity has progressed the most is massacre, genocide, ethnic cleansing, “racial hygiene” and brutality. Thousands of people are being dismembered in the middle of the 21st century, with methods more brutal than in prehistoric times when human sacrifices were made to the gods. The rest of the world is watching this. The flood breaks out while everyone is alive. Everything is happening right before our eyes.
To protect Israel's terror state, aircraft carriers belonging to the US and UK navies, the world’s deadliest killing machines, are ready in the Eastern Mediterranean. A clear message is being given to the whole world: “If one day you do not obey us and become the people we want when we tear you into pieces that day, no one will hear your screams, even if they hear, they will not be able to do anything, you will die brutally in front of everyone’s eyes and no one will be able to move. Here is Gaza! Let everyone witness it, see it with your eyes, hear it with your ears, engrave it in your heart, and learn your lesson: This is the power! And the power is in our hands.”
What does a person live on? Can a person live without dignity and honour? Can a living creature that lives without these be called human? If we see an innocent child being brutally murdered on the street and pass by without doing anything for her/him, and return to our routine life as if nothing had happened, wouldn’t our human dignity and honour die with that child there?
To the philosophers who paved the way for humanity to walk and went ahead of time, to the intellectuals who are the thinking minds of humanity, to the poets who are the feeling hearts of humanity, to the role models beloved by millions, to the opinion leaders who guide societies, to the leaders who promise hope to the people, to the state administrators and representatives who consider themselves human beings on earth, to those who want to live humanely. I call out to everyone who hopes, cares about humanity, and dreams of teaching humanity to their children:
We must now fight for humanity against those who declare war on humanity. When we fight, we may die, and even if we die, we will die as humans, but we cannot live without honour and dignity. Isn’t living without honour inferior to dying? Can one be considered a human who can live without dignity? We can’t live our old lives by looking eye to eye with blood-covered little babies looking at the cameras.
We must fight! We should not be afraid, we should not just make plans to save ourselves, we should exist together. Many minorities have overcome many majorities throughout history. We should be afraid of losing the dignity of humanity, not the power of the enemy. We must fight to gain the right to look at each other’s faces, to defend the values that humanity has accumulated in its 315 thousand years of history, to remain human and to die humanely.
The rulers of the Second World War deceived the whole world. The United Nations deceived the world once again, just as it did in Srebrenica. Developed countries just remained spectators. Sustainable development goals and economic growth have turned out to be a fairy tale. Pandora’s box was opened again, the mask fell, and the truth appeared to the eyes that saw it. The savages, who tried to appear cute and noble to humanity, once again succumbed to their brutality. Israeli state terrorism has turned the 21st century into a sea of blood.
Oh my Turkey, my beloved nation, my brothers and sisters who have written epics with all their history, the story of our ancestors should not end like this with us, and if our history is truly glorious, it should not be harmed. The souls of the Göktürks, the Seljuks, the Ottomans and our Turkey should not be handed over to the oppressors so easily, so quietly in this dead-end street. We were warriors, we have been fighting since time immemorial, we are still warriors, and we must fight again. If we believe in something called ‘we’, we must do what is necessary, gather together, shout with all our being to cruel Israel, ‘We are ready to fight you’, and say Bismillah when it does not back down.
We must fight and call on our state administrators to take action in order to live without shame, to remain human, to look at the faces of our honourable ancestors at the end of the day, and especially to look at the faces of our Prophet and all the honourable and dignified people in history.
If we do not fight, if we do not stop the killing machines, if we do nothing, life will never be the same for nobody who does not fight, humanity will continue its journey in a transformed form, and human dignity will surrender its spirit in Gaza.
We must fight, to remain human, for the honour of humanity who took bullets in Gaza, to be able to look at the face of the child who will ask ‘where were you when we died’ when she/he grows up. We should not be afraid of any power other than God, and we should remind ourselves that the greatest power is God.
And why should ye not fight in the cause of God and of those who, being weak, are ill-treated (and oppressed)?- Men, women, and children, whose cry is: “Our Lord! Rescue us from this town, whose people are oppressors; and raise for us from thee one who will protect; and raise for us from thee one who will help!” — Qur’an, An-Nisa 75
